Exams/HWA/Quizzes/Extra
- Exams: Midterm 1 --- Fri, Feb 27, Midterm 2 --- Fri, Apr 24, both in class, dates are subject to change. Final --- TBA.
- HWA: usually assigned on Wednesday and usually due next Monday.
- Quizzes: once a week, usually on Wednesday;
they are always based on the previous HWA.
- Extra credit problems:
Must be presented orally; only the first solution will be graded.
Solutions will not be accepted after Fri, Apr 17.
Grading policy:
- Each HWA = 10 points.
- Each quiz = 10 points.
- Each exam = 100 points.
- Each extra credit problem = 20 points.
No make-ups!
The two worst HWAs and the two worst quizzes will be dropped.
One worst exam will be dropped.
- 90% guarantees A.
- 80% guarantees B.
- 70% guarantees C.
- 55% guarantees D.
In each letter-grade range, the bottom three percentage points are '–' and the top three are '+'.
